About our home

My attractive, quiet, air-conditioned one-bedroom apartment is on the fourth floor of a high rise. Floor to ceiling plate glass windows frame the tops of palm trees, the mountains, and the Ala Wai Canal. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, a living room with a sofa that makes into a single bed, a very small office nook, a bathroom with tub/shower, and a bedroom with a king-sized bed. The grounds (gardens and ponds)are gorgeous. There is a hot tub, large swimming pool, barbecue set-ups, and rooftop tennis courts. 24 security. It is three blocks from the beach and parks and near a public library and central bus routes.

More about us

  1. I am a female professor at the University of Hawaii and will be in London on a sabbatical, doing research. I am quiet and trustworthy and would take excellent care of your place. I am not interested (at this point) in a short term exchange. I need to exchange for the entire period mid-January to mid-May 2009.

Where is it?

The apartment is in the part of Waikiki closest to Diamond Head and the zoo. There are excellent restaurants (lots of ethnic food) and shops, and an active scene along the main street. Waikiki, of course, brings in tourists from all over the world. My building is three blocks from the beach, next to the Ala Wai Canal. It's a wonderful location for walking and a healthy relaxing life style, always sunny, warm, and beautiful. It is close to bus routes and buses go everywhere on the island. Downtown Honolulu is about fifteen minutes by bus. There are museums, concert halls, historical sites. The British pound is valued at twice the American dollar so your money would go a long, long way.
