About our home

The house was built in the 1960's in red brick. It is a semi-detatched in a cottage style. There is a large garage and the views from all side are of the country. There is an entrance porch into a hall with cloakroom, kitchen, extended 7m x 4.5m lounge and diner off. The stairs from the hall lead to the three bedrooms, bathroom and WC. From the kitchen is the utility room which in turn leads to the garage and back door. The garden is fairly large and is laid mainly to lawn. There is a patio, barbeque and pond. The setting is very rural and quiet.

More about us

  1. Our three children have now all left home and we are looking to do some travelling. We are currently both working part time, but can stop at any time to travel. We have been married for over 34 years and I am 59 and my wife is 57. I like to be active and play tennis, table tennis, cycle and golf. My wife likes to shop, walk, read and cycle. We are prepared to swap for 3 weeks to 3 months.

Where is it?

We have now lived here for three years and have renewed and redecorated most of the interior. We are situated at the end of a long driveway through a water reclamation works. It is a very quiet location and many different animals and birds can be seen from the house. There is a large garden with a patio, pond and lawn. The house looks out over open fields to the rear and trees to the front. We are a ten minute drive from both Ipswich and Felixstowe, and the main trunk road to London is only 5 minutes away. London centre is about 70 miles. There is a traditional English country pub within 5 minutes walk.
