About our home

On the official Register of Historic Places, our country cottage was originally built in the 1880s and recently updated with full modern touches. Original wooden floors, window panes, and high ceilings add a charming touch and give visitors a taste of this historic town's frontier days. The home is on a quiet street just two blocks from downtown Jacksonville's boutiques, wine tasting bars, and restaurants, and includes a separate guest cottage with full bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. The back garden and deck are well-maintained with an outdoor fire pit, patio furniture, hot tub, and plenty of space for the kids to climb apple trees and explore Daisy Creek, which runs through the back of the property.
