About our home

Our 100 year-old, fully modern home is located in Keokuk, Iowa on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and Lake Cooper. Completely redone with library, 3 bedrooms, pool room and outdoor patio overlooking the river and barges, many that tie up just below the house prior to entering the locks of Dam #19. Home has two separate HVAC systems upstairs and down for full comfort as well as new basement sauna. Installed security system for safety.
Standing 10 stories above the top water level and running almost a mile long, Keokuk Energy Center and Dam near Keokuk, Iowa, is the largest privately owned and operated dam and hydroelectric generating plant on the Mississippi River.
Keokuk is across the river from the famous town of Nauvoo, IL.
Nauvoo attracts visitors for its historic importance and its religious significance to members of primarily the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Settled by Joseph Smith and The Mormons, the city and its immediate surrounding area are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Nauvoo Historic District.
