About our home

It is a small but charming house, a 1905 bungalow with a small apartment off the back and a second house in the rear (quiet neighbors) It has wood floors, a sunny study and a shaded back deck. A car (2001 Saturn 4-door) is available. My house is available any time between May 26 and July 1.

Quiet, very diverse neighborhood with small houses and some apartments. 3 blocks to the bluff overlooking the beach. You can walk to restauarants, coffee houses, shops, the local museum, but the area avoids the tourist traffic. A city shuttle takes you to the acquarium, downtown, the Queen Mary, and the newly developed waterfron area. It is a great place to just hang out. We are also about 30 minutes by car from Los Angeles.

I live by myself and teach economics at a local college. I cook, entertain friends, and love to read, swim , and watch people. I am sort of a writer who rarely writes. I speak Swedish, and am learning French and Italian. In fact, this is why I am loooking for a house or apartment in a French speaking area. I am intending to just jump in and try to speak.
