Completed in 2005 our home is spacious and comfortable. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, our backyard runs into a small private lake. You will have great views of the lake from the kitchen, main living area and master suite. Our home is the perfect setup for a family or couples looking for plenty of room to spread out. Enjoy an evening BBQ on the deck or relax on the fully furnished patio while watching the children play on the playground. Backyard is fully fenced for the safety of children and/or pets. You can take a stroll around the lake on the walking trail which also leads to a river. Watch our gorgeous sunsets from a rocking chair on the front porch or read a book while enjoying the peace and quiet.
Main level consists of:
office with high speed wireless internet
formal living and dining areas
large kitchen with upgraded appliances, bar and eating area
Great room with large plasma TV including satellite, surround sound with DVD/VCR
One full and one half bath
Also on the main level are the three bedrooms. The master suite is furnished with a Cal.King bed, sitting area and TV. The bathroom has a large soaking tub with a separate shower. The two smaller bedrooms each contain a full size bed and are decorated for our children but would be comfortable for adults also. They each have a small TV with VCR and one includes DVD also. We have an extensive collection of children's movies and toys. There is a Wii and XBOX for playing video games.
Our basement is unfinished but we have setup a cozy area with an additional queen size bed for extra guests. Plenty of extra space for kids to play also.
We have plenty of outdoor items such as a canoe, fishing poles, bikes, ice chests and a portable grill for day trips. We also have a good deal of camping equipment and a camping trailer which we would consider as part of the swap. Vehicles avail.for swap are Honda Element 4WD seats 4 or Ford Expedition (not 4WD) seats 8.
The best thing about living in this area of Colorado is how easy it is to get almost everywhere. From our house we can be inside Rocky Mountain National Park is 45 minutes. We love to spend our weekends camping, hiking and just enjoying a scenic drive. We always encounter elk and deer as well as a variety of other wildlife.
If you are looking for the city life, downtown Denver is 30 minutes away. Great theater, dining and shopping as well as all major sporting events are very easy to get to.
Boulder is approx.10 miles away and has it's own unique activities and sites to see. There are plenty of shops and restaurants as well as the university located there.
If skiing is your thing, most of the major resorts are 1 1/2-2 hours away. They are also great in the summer for hiking, fishing and mountain biking.
There is really no need to leave our relatively small town. It has the conveniences of a bigger city but the local people are so warm and friendly giving it a small town charm. There are several golf courses, bike trails, parks and indoor and outdoor pools. There is a quaint historic district with unique shops and restaurants, great for walking and exploring and a nice day.
If you're the adventurous type we've got something for you too. Horseback riding, white water rafting, jeep tours and several working ranches are within an easy drive from here. Explore the "Wild West" with a weekend trip to Durango for a ride on the historic train to Silverton.
Whatever you are looking for, Colorado can deliver! The people are friendly and the country side doesn't get any more beautiful.
We have two cats, Coco and Audrey. They are pretty well behaved indoor cats and can stay or be housed elsewhere if you prefer.
