We have a beautiful, centrally located house in Los Angeles. The house features a large outdoor pool and patio. The house is air conditioned with 3 spacious bedrooms, 3 baths, a large den, dining room and living room.
The house was built by a famous female stunt double in the movies (she did the swimming stunts for the famous actress and swimmer, Esther Williams) and therefore features a large outdoor pool. It's large enough to swim laps if you choose. There's a wonderful patio next to the pool so that you can sit outside, sip a drink and enjoy the balmy Los Angeles evenings. We spend many evenings year round having a barbecued dinner and drinks on the patio by the pool.
The house has air conditioning, wireless internet, satellite TV (with additional stations such as HBO). There are two television sets - one in the den and a second in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with shower and opens out with french doors to the pool and patio.
The house is centrally located in West Los Angeles and the entire city is within easy reach. You can hop in the car and quickly swim or surf at the beaches, go to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, hike in one of the many canyons or a attend game at famous Dodger Stadium.
The house is near Westwood and UCLA. It's about a 10 minutes drive west to the beaches at Santa Monica and Venice. Going east it's about 5 minutes from Century City and Beverly Hills and only 20 minutes from Hollywood, the Hollywood Bowl, Dodger Stadium and more. We also have a gorgeous new Landmark cinema complex that is only a 10 minute walk from the house. The cinemas include "lounges" where you can book leather couches to watch your movies!
The neighborhood itself is very peaceful and suburban despite the fact that it's in an ideal, central location.
We're a family of 5 and our children range in ages from 16 to 8. I am a computer professional with my own company and my wife is a landscape designer. We were originally immigrants to the United States - I am Australian and my wife is Canadian - but have lived here for almost 20 years and our kids are all born here.
We love to go to new and interesting places so we'd be open to all sorts of offers. We do love being outdoors and near the beach but it wouldn't take much arm twisting to get us to travel to any sort of exotic location.
We're English speakers (although Americans often have trouble with the Aussie accent!) and also speak Hebrew and a little Spanish.
