About our home

This is not a mansion or luxury vacation home. It is a warm, comfortable house in a great neighborhood.

The living room, dining room, kitchen and playroom are on the first floor, with a very open floor-plan. 2 bedrooms are on the second floor, along with laundry and an office. 1 bedroom is in the finished attic. All said it's a bit over 2000 sq. ft.

We have off-street parking (uncovered). If the weather is nice, grill out on our 2 decks, and sip a margarita on the brick patio next to our (modest) vegetable garden. The front of the house sports a spiral herb garden and a butterfly garden.

This is our family's primary residence. We love it here.

We live in Cllifton, a safe, older neighborhood where our kids can ride their bikes to the little Olmstead designed park 50 feet from our front door. Where you can drive 5 minutes to the riverfront park system with a splashpark next to a pedestrian foot bridge across the Ohio river. Or you could drive 5 minutes into downtown Louisville's "4th Street Live" if you're of the Hard Rock Cafe ilk. Or 5 minutes to "Bardstown Road", what Lonely Planet was talking about when saying that "Louisville was the new portland" -

No smoking in the house, please.
We have a cat, so avoid if allergic.

The house will be available at derby-time, and transportation could be arranged.
