About our home

OUr home is 1000 square foot 3 bedrooms and one bath cottage. We have beautiful warm bamboo flooring throughout. Our bathroom is slate tile, built in asian antique counter and cupboard, and deep japanese soaking tub. Off the living room is a small porch over looking a beautiful ravene. The porch is semi-enclosed, and furnished for indoor/outdoor living. The furnishings are asian cottage antiques and Bamboo furniture as well. The living room, kitchen and dinning room are an open floor plan with 20 foot vaulted ceilings. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Because we are upcountry in Maui, it is never too hot, and pleasantly cool in the evening. We have the basic appliances, including a washer and dryer. There is yard and barbaque and furniture for dining outdoors. Big windows make the place sunny and bright. And the moonlight on a full moon lights up the house.

Our home is on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Maui. We are in one of Maui's most picturesque towns, Makawao, a tiny artist village 10 minutes from the beach. OUr house is nestled away backed by avocado and fruit trees, yet just two blocks from quaint resutrants, coffee houses and boutiques. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. The air is clear, bright and fresh, views of Maui's highest volcano moutain can be seen and walking is a treat. 15 minutes from the airport, and 30 minutes from the resort villages.

We are a professional couple , I am a psychologist and my partner is an Engineer. We love to travel and are eager to share our beautiful Maui cottage with others. Hawaii is a very special place and we love the idea of having folks from Europe or British Isles getting a chance to experience Hawaii off the tourist path! I lived for 7 years in London, where my sons, who are now adults were born and spend their early childhood. I love to get back to England and Scotland at least every two years. Trading houses would be a wondeful for way to be there, and to also give some the gift of Maui.
