About our home

We live just a mile and half from the state captial of Vermont up on a ridgeline overlooking the mountains centered on the third highest peak in Vermont. Our home is a finely built post and beam, exquisitely decorated, while still maintaining a cozy and comfortable feel. The property of 33 acres boasts incredible gardens, with numerous fruit trees, a huge buleberry patch, a large deep spring fed swimming pond, borders the city park that abounds with hiking and mountain biking trails. It truly is one of the finest homes in the area located within walking distance to the eclectic small city of Montpelier.

More about us

  1. We are a family of four with two girls, 11 and 7. We want very much to go to Italy next summer and travel as a family. Our home is incredibly special to us and we hope it can be the vehicle that allows our family to experience Europe while our children are at an age when they still want to go on an adventure with us!

Neighbourhood

We live up on a ridge that is a magnet for recreators of all sorts. Because of the incredible views, it is a popular spot for walking and biking, and in winter cross-country skiing as we link to local trails that are groomed and maintained. Incredibly we are only 1.5 miles to town that, although small, has tons to offer. An avantgarde movie theatre, many fantastic restaurants, several wonderful coffee and confections shops, local live theatre and many night spots with great local music. Montpelier truly has it all, beautiful scenery and lots to do - especially for lovers of outdoor recreation. A short drive takes you to other great Vermont towns and cities including Burlington and Stowe offering many activity opportunities as well. In summer this includes the Vermont Symphony Orchestra that has outdoor concerts all during the month of July in amazing locations. Being the geographic center of Vermont, Montpelier is only a short drive to many other wonderful places including Boston, MA, Montreal and Quebec, Canada.
