Check out our comfortable three bedroom home with a veiw of Puget Sound from almost every room. We live in Mukilteo which is about 30 minutes north of Seattle, a little over an hour from the Canadian border, a couple hours from wine country, and within minutes of numerous Starbuck's. We encourage you to watch the boats come and go from our deck while sitting in our hot tub or get in a car and explore the state of Washington and all that it has to offer. We also own a summer cabin in eastern Washington by the resort town of Lake Chelan which is known for it's fabulous wines and warm weather. If we exchange homes with you, you would have the cabin available as well.
Our home is located in a quiet family neighborhood. Although we are only minutes from a grocery store and about 15 minutes from a major shopping mall, you would not be able to get around without a car. We have agreed to exchange cars, but that would be negotiable. There are lots of lakes for swimming, professional sports teams to support, trails for hiking in the mountains, and coffee shops so that when you are done with the exchange, you will know what a tall, skinny, carmel maccihiato. Notable attractions nearby are; The Experience Music Project, Space Needle, Hiram Locks, Floating Bridge, Mount Rainer, Mount St. Helens, Olympic National Park, Pike Place Market, Deception Pass, Whidbey Island, Ferry Rides throughout Puget Sound, Seattle Sports Teams (Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders, Huskies, etc.), Museum of Flight, Boeing Tour, Seattle Art Museum, University of Washington, numerous ski areas in the winter, and about a thousand other sites.
My husband is a retired school teacher turned general contractor. He has been swinging a hammer for the past eight years and wants to take a break and enjoy the good life of travel. I just retired from being a high school counselor and am ready to slow down my life and enjoy other parts of world during non-school holidays. We both are very active (we ski, play tennis, golf, fish, and exercise regularly), but also enjoy evenings with a good book. Since we are new to the world of leisure and home exchanging, we are not sure where this will take us. Oh what a thrill this process can provide!
