About our home

We live in a beautiful raised beach house on an inlet that connects with the Atlantic Ocean. The home has all the amenities that you would expect a beach house to offer. A cleaning service comes in every 2 weeks to help you enjoy your stay. We also have 2 bicycles, beach chairs, and a surfboard if you're ready. The house has an outdoor shower when you return from the beach and a screen room to enjoy the evenings.

Where is it?

Within a few minutes drive is Brookgreen Gardens, a National Historic Landmark. This beautiful garden, opened in 1931, contains world class art and sculptures. Located across the street is Huntington State Park, which offers 3 miles of wide open pristine beach for swimming, running, or just relaxing. Also, you might see alligators, egrets or any number of other birds.

The December/January 2015 issue of National Geographic Travler's magizine named 2 of the best places to visit for 2015 that are within 500 miles of our home. They are the National Mall, in Washington, DC and Sea Islands, South Carolina.

Murrells Inlet is known as the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and offers many fine restaurants as well as deep sea fishing. Just to our north is Mrytle Beach, with all the tourist activities you can imagine.
