Located near the top of Shuler Mountain in Ranger, NC, the chalet it is 15 minutes from downtown Murphy, NC. There are eight similar chalets in the neighborhood on this mountain top. The closest neighbor is 150 feet away and only occasionally occupied, so this chalet is quiet and peaceful. My kids named the chalet Gobblers' Knob Lodge because of the wild turkeys that dwell on the mountain. The view from the spacious deck is truly wonderful.
