About our home

Our home is three level, lodge style with 8 meter high ceilings and slate floors in entry, library, dining and living room of main house. Kitchen is beautiful and with incredible views. Three bedrooms with high wood ceilings have ensuite baths with open showers and private entries onto inclosed courtyard with fountain. Master bathroom has sunken ultra bath. Badmington and basketball court along with tetherball in yard. There are two king size beds, 1 double and 7 singles. There are 3 computers with internet.

My wife Michelle and I (Patrick) have 7 well behaved children. Mary 16, is into guitar, Kelly 15, is in choir. Sean 13 plays basketball and piano as does Michael 12, who has a twin Katelyn who loves to read. Brennan 10, plays piano and soccer as does our youngest Molly who is 7. I own a business and Michelle stays busy with the children. We have exchanged homes in Germany and France and have no trouble staying in a smaller home with the younger children sleeping on the floor. We have a 12 and a 7 passenger van that could be available.

Our home is in a park like setting, secluded in the forest 10 minutes from an historic, charming, gas lit gold mining town with tourist shops,wine tasting, museums, nice restaurants, theater, tennis, golf and swimming pools. Hiking and biking trails start right from our home with several lakes and rivers within 30 minutes. Lake tahoe is an hour away and San Francisco within 2 1/2 hours. California's capital, Sacramento with many malls, museums and attractions is within an hours drive. Yosemite National Park is about 4 hours and Reno about 2 hours.
