About our home

Our less than two year old 3200 square foot house is on a 1 acre lot with 5 huge oak trees. It has four bedrooms: the master bedroom and a second bedroom (this bedroom shares a bathroom with the living area of the house) are located downstairs and the other two bedrooms are upstairs and share a bathroom (jack and jill style). There is a large jukuzzi bathtub in the master bathroom. We have two tankless water heaters, so the hot water never runs out. There is a playscape and trampoline outside (use anything at your own risk). We have a large plasma flatscreen tv in the family room. We have a small yorkie dog (we will put in a kennel while on vacation) ,cable television, internet access and a propane grill.

We live in New Braunfels, Texas, a small German town between Austin, our state capital, and San Antonio. Our beautiful town boasts the world's largest waterpark, Schlitterbahn and has two rivers that run through it (the Comal and The Guadalupe). A favorite pastime for New Braunfels residents and tourists is floating one of the rivers during the summertime with family and friends. San Antonio is 20 south of New Braunfels and has Sea World, Six Flags, The Riverwalk, The Alamo and more. We are 20 minutes south of San Marcos which has huge outlet malls. Our house is located in a neighborhood named River Chase where all the houses are on one acre or more. Our house is on a 1 acre lot with 5 huge oak trees. The neighborhood has paved, peaceful walking trails surrounded by beautiful oak trees. I love our neighborhood because it is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Many days deer come into our yard at dusk or in the early morning.

My husband and I have been married 12 years and have 3 young daughters. I am an elementary school librarian and am off 10 weeks in the summer, 2 weeks at Christmas, and 1 week for spring break in March. My husband usually takes vacation at Christmas, Spring Break, and a couple of weeks in the summer. We are specifically interested in going to Anaheim this March 2009 or early June 2009 and would like to try out the home exchange then.
