About our home

The apartment is on East 81st Street in Manhattan, close to many wonderful ethnic restaurants, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, Central Park, shopping on Madison Avenue and so much more. And, you'll be in town for the most fantastic July 4th fireworks display!
It is a one bedroom apartment on the second floor of a doorman building, with great sunlight and a terrace! There is a double bed in the bedroom and a fold-out sofa. If you want to use the air mattress, you can sleep six.
We want to go camping, in the Catskills about 100 miles north of NYC, and need to pack enough gear for two grown-ups, two kids and two cats. Please contact us if we can use your station wagon or SUV, with a roof rack. A great vacation deal for you, an affordable camping week for us!

The neighborhood is within walking distance of several sites, and with a 7-day metrocard, you'll have unlimited access to the rest of New York. New York is the city that never sleeps, and it's fine to come home to this safe neighborhood in to the wee hours.
There is a supermarket across the street, and a specialty European-style market two short blocks away.

I'm a 49-year-old single mom with two young children.
My mother, who is 83, and I have been camping together for 30 years. Our family summer tradition has continued with my daughter, who is 8, and my son, who is 3. We take our cats, too.
I'm trying to avoid spending $500 to rent an SUV for our camping week. Your family can have your own inexpensive stay in New York, saving at least $1200.
The apartment in the exchange belongs to my mother. She lives down the block.
I'm an excellent driver, and will take good care of your car.
