About our home

Our house is located on a dead-end, quiet very green street in the northern part of Georgetown, the best quarter of Washington. Ideal if you want to go sightseeing AND relax. All amenities in walking distance, the Wisconsin Avenue shops, the bus going for free both to the center of Georgetown (20min walking) and the waterfront as well as downtown. The forest starts right behind the house, we get visits from deer. Freshly renovated with a rear patio and a garden/parking lot and front garden+deck. Three levels: main level (living with convertible sleeping sofa, dining room, kitchen, sunroom with rear garden view), upper level with two bedrooms and a bathroom, fully renovated basement with a bathroom and small kitchen plus sleeping sofa.

Attn: Would not recommend if you are allergic to cats. Our cat stays mostly outside and is hardly at home, but despite thorough cleaning, a hair might stick to the furniture, particularly outside where the neighboring cats are sitting as well.

More about us

  1. We are a European couple (diplomat and artist) around 40 who love traveling. Having just moved to Washington, DC, we are keen to explore the United States! We do not plan to travel outside the Americas in the next years.

  2. It is important for us that our house stays in good condition, so we are looking for swappers who treat our home well as we will do with yours.

  3. We are flexible when it comes to timing and happy to provide you with advice (in English, French, German, Dutch, and a little Spanish and Portuguese).
