About our home

Master bedroom with comfortable double bed available. Apt. has 1.5 bathrooms. Apartment is occupied by our son, and due to the nature of the building rules, is only available when owners are present. Bathroom is shared.

Building was built in 1900 or thereabouts, and is in Hamilton Heights in Harlem, Manhattan, 2 blocks from the A and D subway line, and one block from two different buses.

2nd apartment is in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt, and has two single beds in a bedroom, private bathroom.

The Manhattan building and neighborhood is culturally mixed and vibrant. There is much to see nearby and downtown Manhattan is two subway stops away. The Hudson River is three blocks away, and Yankee Stadium is a 15 minute walk in the opposite direction, across the Harlem River. There is a bike path that runs from the George Washington Bridge down to the bottom of Manhattan, and is only a few minutes from the apartment. A bicycle and lock are available for use if so desired.

The Cairo apartment is in Maadi, an expat community in the southern suburbs of Cairo, accessible to metro and cheap taxis to downtown Cairo. Many restaurants and shops are nearby.

We live in Cairo at the moment but our son lives in the apartment in Manhattan. We are a multicultural, multilingual family who love traveling, meeting people, eating and drinking with friends, and sharing experiences.
