Nyack is a quaint, small village set on the Hudson River, known for its antique stores and artistry. It has lovely central streets to stroll at night, restaurants, Riverspace theater and is home to many famous Broadway figures. It is only 30 miles from New York City offering access to all of the City plus the beauty of being in the midst of state parks, hiking trails, hawk watching and bike paths. Our home is a fully renovated 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2300 square foot open space with light, central air conditioning and a working wood burning fireplace.
The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, safe, surrounded by trees and within walking distance to the Hudson river where there are miles of walking paths set between the water and mountains. The village is small with two main streets filled with interesting stores, antique centers, restaurants, a performance theater and a few miles from the second largest mall in the U.S. New York City is merely 30 miles away offering a busy day followed by a quiet night at home.
I was born and grew up in Johannesburg and have lived here as a psychologist for the past 20 years. We have 3 children ages 10 to 12 and love both city life, with its museums and cultural activities plus the quiet of the suburbs.
