About our home

Ours is a traditional, attractive semi-detached home, offering three bedrooms, a further study bedroom, two reception rooms, and a downstairs study slightly tucked away in the back of the house.
We have off-road parking at the front, with an open bike shed for numerous bicycles, add-ons, scooters and tricycles. At the back is a large garden mainly laid to lawn, with a climbing frame, sandpit and summerhouse.

More about us

  1. Tim is an almost fifty year-old novelist, Hania is an almost ten years younger Psychodynamic Counsellor, working in the National Health Service and in private practice. Gabriel is seven, a keen sportsman, and Zosia is four. Both are animal lovers and outdoors types.
There is a piano in the house (played by mother and son) and a football in the garden (played by all.)
We love living in Oxford, it's got everything, and we like the idea of swapping our home for somewhere quite different for four or six weeks in the summer.

Where is it?

North Oxford is the well to do, mostly Victorian part of town. We're ten minutes walk from Summertown, where all the shops for everyday needs are to be found, not to mention bars, restaurants and sports facilities. We're thirty minutes walk from the historic city centre, which journey takes ten to fifteen minutes by bike or by one of the buses that pass frequently and stop close to the house.
Being at the top of Banbury Raod, we are very close to Oxford's ring-road, and all directions south (to London) north (to the Cotswolds) east and west.
Oxford with its historic colleges is a uniquely beautiful small city that retains its dreamy aspect, while managing to offer just about every amenity we demand in modern living.
