About our home

Inside, you'll find an open living room and dining area. The kitchen has new appliances and a table for eating and reading. One bedroom serves primarily as an office and den, but includes a pull out bed. The other bedroom has a comfortable queen mattress with a pillowtop and fluffy linens.
The bathroom window opens to the outdoors--a patio/room complete with a full-sized couch, plus a loveseat, other seating, and a coffee table. It's the best place to be, most of the year. In the yard you'll find a gas BBQ, plus lavender, rosemary, jasmine, hydrangeas, and over twenty rose bushes.
Dishwasher & clothes washer. Automatic sprinklers.

The house sits on the southeast side of a quiet cul du sac with friendly neighbors. It's off the street and very private, located within minutes of the Huntington Gardens, Norton Simon Museum, Cal Tech, and the Gold Line metro which connects to Union Station downtown and links to all metro lines in the city. There is a post office within walking distance as well as bus stops for the local Pasadena line and all city busses. The Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena airport is thirty minutes away. LAX is a 45 minute drive (add a few if you hit traffic), as are the LA beaches. Orange County beaches are an hour away, but worth the extra drive time.

I am an English teacher and writer who loves to travel and hopes to finish up a manuscript while away from home. I have also worked in journalism. I love a nice, long getaway in the summer. Been looking mostly in Italy, Spain, and France, but open to other possibilities for a SWAP.
