“Thank you Carolyn for such a lovely week on the Chesapeake. The house was lovely and full of history. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed retreating back there after a day of visiting sites and friends. The kayaks were so much fun and we enjoyed a few swims off the beach after beaching the kayaks down the road. We loved the area and visited every place on your list. We cannot thank you enough and will take with us some beautiful memories of seeing the eagles sitting in the trees and then flying off over the bay!!”

About our home
Carpenters Point is located on the northern part of the Chesapeake Bay on the Susquehanna Flats. This part of the Bay was judged the cleanest, and the salinity is low so we do not ever get jelly fish. For birders, the point has a Great Blue Heron rookery and many eagle and osprey nests. For kayakers, you can take short paddles around the point to see nature or longer paddles to Havre-de-Grace and across the bay to Elk Neck State Park.
There are 3 golf courses within 10 miles, one of the closest is world-class Bulle Rock which hosted the LPGA tournament. Explore the many nearby historic towns including Havre-de-Grace and Northeast for antiquing and seafood restaurants. Heron House is conveniently located only an hour from Philadelphia or Baltimore and 1.5 hours from DC. These are easy day-trips driving or you can catch the MARC commuter train from nearby Perryville.
Fishing is fine right on our shore, our record is 6 species in one day. So come to Heron House for bird and butterfly watching from the deck, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, exploring or just to relax in the hammock with spectacular views.
We can make this home available for swap points any time - just ask.
