About our home

Our home is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, 2 hours drive east of San Francisco and 1 hour drive west of Lake Tahoe. We are on 2 acres with a well tended landscape 5 minutes drive from a popular tourist town that still retains a local vibe but with great restaurants and breweries. The area is busy, but if you were beamed to our home you'd think you were in the middle of nowhere. Everything is close, yet with a feeling of quiet and refuge.

More about us

  1. We are retired grandparents.

  2. Enjoy the beauty of gardening and natural landscapes.

  3. Have a meditative perspective of life and gentle footprints left behind.

Where is it?

Our home is minutes away from Coloma, where white water rafting on the American River is very popular. The ski slopes of the the Lake Tahoe area are a 45-60 minute drive. Wineries are in abundance with wine tours and also local breweries, as well as the popular Apple Hill destination. A local in town farmers market is open Saturday mornings and Wednesday evening . A drive to San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Stinson's Beach are all within a couple hours, not to mention Yosemite National Park which is a beautiful 3 hour foothill drive south of us.
