Our inviting rowhouse has three levels. On the main floor we have a kitchen, dining area, living room and 1/2 bathroom. The floorplan is open. The living room has a gas fireplace and the the windows overlook our back porch, patio, and garden. The upstairs has a large family room/study with a computer and futon/bed. The bathroom contains a jacuzzi tub and a double shower. The other bedroom has a queen bed. The lowest level has our laundry room and garage. We enjoy spending time at home and in the garden and have recently put new hard flooring throughout our whole house.
We are in our early thirties and both teach for a living. We have no children but do have two very friendly cats. We enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. We've taken two extended cycle touring trips to Ireland and continental Europe. We enjoy spending time outside and have done lots of hiking, biking, and climbing in the Pacific Northwest. We've recently added a vegetable garden due to our love of cooking and eating local cuisine.
Our house is attached to seven other rowhouses and all are painted in pastel colors. Our neighbors are very friendly and get together frequently. We have an annual 4th of July block party. Our neighborhood has coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery store, a large river park with tennis, fields, and playground. All of this within a 10 minute walk. The park has a river trail that leads to downtown Portland. (About a 15 min. bike ride). We live near 3 bus lines that gives easy access to downtown without a car. We are a 1 hour drive from the Oregon Coast, 45 min to hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, and 45 min. to skiing and hiking on Mt. Hood.
