About our home

This is an 1860 core home added onto hugely in 1895 so a Victorian as well. Three stories. Very nicely appointed, pink with burgundy trim. Neighborhood is swell and safe, two minutes from heart of downtown. There is an apartment upstairs (part of 2nd floor with back stairs entry) but hardly noticeable. Big garden filled with perennials, fireplace, two full bedrooms, one with second computer/internet acces, library with many swell books and couch that opens out to extra double bed, plus other bookcases and works of art throughout home, gourmet kitchen with fancy stove, counter space, elegant art, two full bathrooms one bedroom size, office with computer, internet access and extra bed with trundle, two blocks from ocean, new Prius hybrid auto available, Maine coastline at your fingertips plus secret US arts treasure, Portland, with major museums, galleries, theatre, music et al at one's fingertips. Two swell cats, two years old, very loving. There are no traffic jams here, no headaches, great restaurants, much culture & access to the best of the new world in New England.

The houses are big and the ocean is two short blocks away. Plus Portland is a secret arts mecca.

I am a foundation executive and director of an art gallery associated with the University of New England. So I do both art and 'change the world' projects to get to peace, honest, open & accountable governments, women's leadership -- and the like. I have four daughters, the last going to college in fall of 2007.
