About our home

Our house is in the area straight from Western movies, but besides the cowboys and Indians, loud pipe Harley's and sophisticated off-road BMW's and KLR's (which you can rent in-town), there are bars, restaurants, bowling alley, spas, boutiques. The place is a heaven for outdoor oriented people, who enjoy the simpler (and much slower pace of life).

It is a one-story log home located 60 miles from the Billings airport (BIL) for an easy 1-hour fly-in/out to main hubs like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City.

The town is located 70 miles from the Yellowstone Park (via the beautiful Beartooth Pass Scenic Byway, which is open late May to September), and a few miles away from Indian reservation and a Wild horse reserve.

It is a little mountain town, which offers a number of recreational activities, such as skiing in the winter; fishing, golfing (a fabulous golf resort), hiking, dining and tourist watching during the warm seasons (May - September).

And, did I mention shopping? Montana does not have a sales tax, and Billings (an hour away) offers plenty opportunities to spend money :)

Our house is located above the town itself, which is cuddled up in the former river bank. Therefore, the house has unobstructed views of the mountains, a really big sky and dramatic sunsets.

It is a 5-minute drive down to the town and away from the tourists and roaring motorcycles, heading towards the curly mountain road, and is great for relaxation due to forcefully induced change of pace, which you grow to love :)

Our favorite moment: You wake up to a pink mountain, colored by the rising sun; grub a coffee, go outside, and listen to the busy morning of the birds and to overly excited sprinklers in the morning. Another one: we are stretched out on the back patio with some tapas and a glass of wine watching the lazy sunset with curious deers and resident birds wondering around. In the distance - One of the neighbors drives by occasionally and waves his cowboy hat.
