About our home

The Casita at Hacienda Rincon de la Loma is a 550 Sq, ft. guest house on the same grounds of the Hacienda. The Casita is on seven private acres atop a ridge that offers views from the Catalina Mountains in Tucson 60 miles north and the Sierra Madres in Mexico 50 miles south. It is ideally located for day trips throughout Southern Arizona, including local Missions, Galleries and eating establishments in Tubac ten minutes away, National Parks for hiking, the wild west and mining tourist towns of Tombstone and Bisbee and the world famous Desert Museum.

Please note this is wide open desert and a car will be an absolute requirement as the typical day trip might be 50 plus miles each way. There are over ten restaurants and two golf courses less than fifteen minutes drive.

The casita is an open plan with a small kitchen area that has a two burner stove top, compact fridge and sink unit like those often found in Europe. The sleeping area has a queen sized bed and the bath has both shower and tub. There is also sitting area with a stereo and TV /DVD player for watching movies. There is no cable TV. Phone and Internet can be accessed in the main Hacienda. There is also a BBQ and the private pool. The pool is not heated year round but is best swimmable between April and October. Located at over 4000 feet high the weather is much more accommodating than the Cities like Tucson or Phoenix in the summer. If you like quite and peaceful views and wonderful stars at night this the place.

This property offers all the qualities of the countryside yet is minutes away from art galleries, eating establishments and a full service grocery.

Nancy and kent are retired business professionals in our early sixties. We take great pride in our homes and would do so with anyone we exchange with. We have spent the last year completly renovating this property which had suffered from sad neglect. We have traveled the world extensively on business and pleasure and pride ourselves in being respectful visitors where ever we go. Buying and renovating this property was our dream come true. It is a truly unique place and the Hacienda captures the Mexican Colonial Spirit not often found outside Mexico
