About our home

Rockport's famous 'Picture Window House' is now available from September 1st to November 30, 2014, and all of June 2015. Undeniably one of the best views on the entire Cape. The rocks behind our house are large and flat, creating "steps" to the Atlantic Ocean where you can swim, fish, and sunbathe. Enjoy stunning views of Thatcher Island and lighthouses. The house is an easy 20 minute walk to the charming town of Bearskin Neck; or a ten-minute walk to Cape Hedge beach. Watch romantic sunsets and stunning sunrises over the water from the common area (dining room + living room). Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Perfect for family or couple wanting to relax and "get away from it all". Includes Central Air, Cable TV, outdoor grill; dishwasher and Wifi.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Duckworth Bistrot; Latitude 43; and the Frankllin Cafe are all great!
Bit of culture
The Shalin Liu Performing Arts Center is a five minute drive from the house. Enjoy a Jazz concert with a view of the Atlantic ocean as the "backdrop" behind the performance. For a more "Lively" arts scene, you can always take the train into Boston. It's a one hour train ride; or a 40 minute drive by car.
Spot of exercise
Kayaking; running; biking; swimming; and long walks on deserted beaches
Day tripping
Gloucester; Salem; and Ipswich are very close by. Great for antique-lovers and also, history buffs.
