About our home

Our home was built in 2018. it is 3,100 sf - four bedrooms, three bathrooms. We are a family of eleven (nine children, three are adopted) and we have a hobby farm with beef and milk cows, goats, sheep, four dogs, two cats, turkeys, and chickens. We have a swimming pool, also have a pond to fish. I am a minimalist, so we don't own a lot of "stuff." Right next to our house is a garage apartment that we lived in for seven years (1,000 sf, three bedrooms, one bath) that is also available if needed. We live in a small, quaint town in Louisiana called St. Francisville, There are many beautiful plantations available to visit and unique shops and restaurants. We love our town. We are only 45 minutes from Baton Rouge, 1.5 hours from New Orleans, and 1 hour from Natchez, MS.

More about us

  1. We're a large homeschooling family with eleven children (18, 16, 16, 14, 12, 12, 7, 7, 3). Three of our children are adopted, and my passion is adoption. Now that our quiver is full I want my children to experience other cultures.

  2. Jimmy works as an IT consultant and has flexibility with traveling as long as there is dependable Wifi. I (Donna) am a homemaker and spend my days homeschooling my children and tending to our farm (milk cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats) but now we're in a season that we're ready to travel and see other parts of the world.

  3. We live a simple, minimalistic lifestyle and our home reflects this. Our land is beautiful, with many animals to enjoy and a pond to fish in. We also have a pool to swim in.
