About our home

We live in a cozy and clean 2 bedroom home with hardwood floors on a quiet tree lined street in the charming town of St. Helena. A small town of 5000 population with famous wineries such as Beaulieu Vineyard, Beringer, Copolla, Sterling Vineyards within a few miles as well as wonderful restaurants. It is located in the center of town, one block to main street. It has a peaceful and private garden in the back with a BBQ. It has been totally refurbished. It has a nice kitchen with granite counters and a beautiful rose garden in front. It is located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. You can walk to quaint shops, groceries and everything you would need in a small town: A bike shop to rent bikes, an ice cream salon, a movie house, a library, several churches, etc. World famous wineries are in St. Helena and nearby Napa. Only 60 miles to the San Francisco Bay Area and close to many other places in Northern California

More about us

  1. I am a 65 year old widower with a 16 year old grand daughter who lives with me. I have four grown children and other grandchildren. So I have toys and car seats available. I also have a little dog that I send to the Kennel when I travel. I would like to show my granddaughter where my parents were born in Ireland and travel other places with her, especially Europe and Hawaii I do have a country cabin so I can be somewhat flexible on the exchange dates as long I am in St. Helena for school.I keep my home very clean and I would take care of yours the same. I am open to auto exchange and I have an excellent driving record.

Where is it?

We live in the most beautiful area in California because of the rolling hills and the gorgeous grape vines. The neighborhood is safe and invites you to take long vineyard walks. Biking is also very popular here. There are many golf courses closeby. Two lakes are within an hours ride for swimming and fishing. St. Helena is easily accessible to 3 international airports: Sacramento, Oakland and San Francisco. It is approximately 60 miles from San Francisco and makes a wonderful day trip. You can get there by the Golden Gate Bridge or Bay Bridge. Weather in St. Helena is warm. No fog like S.F., but we do have air conditioning if needed.
