Dick & Paula's reviewsAs a host (2)
“We so enjoyed our visit to San Francisco, a wonderful city with so much to see and do. And the Jessons\' house was more than a base for exploring - it was a very comfortable, well equipped and characterful home. It was full of lovely books and interesting artworks, and Dick and Paula left lots of information about where to go and how to get there. Their home is extremely well located, being in walking distance of several beaches and Golden Gate Park. One minute\'s walk takes you to the trolley bus stop, a frequent and reliable service into town. The area is lively, with a good choice of restaurants, shops and supermarkets, yet their street is very quiet. Thank you Dick and Paula for all the care you took in looking after our house, and we hope we shall be able to meet up in the future.”
Where is it?
We are located north of Golden Gate Park (one of the greatest urban parks in the world -- nice bike ride) and just south of the exclusive Sea Cliff neighborhood which sits above Baker and China Beaches and below Lincoln Park (playground, golf course, California Palace of the Legion of Honor, hiking trails, spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge). The three streets to our south, California, Clement, and Geary, are "high streets" (major shopping, restaurant, and services corridors, each with a bus line, within blocks of our house, to downtown and all tourist attractions). We are just off California State Route 1, easy approach to Golden Gate Bridge for drive to redwoods, wine country, rugged coast to the north, and to the south down the coast to Santa Cruz, Monterey/Carmel, Big Sur, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica and beyond, or across to Yosemite. Berkeley by BART or across the Bay Bridge to the east.
