We LOVE living in San Francisco- a wonderful city with beautiful sites, very walkable, fabulous restaurants., and very friendly people. We are in Noe Valley, close to downtown, and a very desirable part of the city. The flat is three blocks from 24th Street- the main commercial street in the neighborhood known for its dress boutiques, shoe stores, bookstores, cheese and chocolate shops, several bars and excellent restaurants. We are a half a block from a MUNI stop- public transportation that can take you most anywhere within the city. The bay area has much to offer outside of San Francisco- the wine country, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe are among the many day or weekend trips one might consider. BUT THE BIGGEST ATTRACTION IS THE AMERICAS CUP WHICH WILL BE HELD ON THE BAY. AN AMAZING SIGHT WATCHING THE 75' CATAMARANS VYING FOR THE PRESTIGIOUS CUP!
We have lived in this flat since 1990. We are a retired couple. My husband retired sixteen years ago from the publishing business, and I have been retired five years after thirty years in teaching. We enjoy music and dancing; reading and exploring.
We are offering to do an exchange next year in August 2013 when the great America's Cup races come to San Francisco. We are will to go any where - domestic or international. We look forward to hearing about your place.
