We have a large one bedroom, one bathroom apartment available for exchange in the Lower Pacific Heights area of San Francisco. We are in an old victorian style building on the fourth floor. The building does have a large elevator if you are not able to take the stairs.
There is a bit of a view with lots of light in our apartment, very good sized kitchen with all the amenities. We also have a washer and dryer downstairs in the basement that you may use that costs $2.00 per load.
We are a block away from Polk Street that offers a very large assortment of bars, night clubs and many different restaurants and shops. We have two large grocery stores that are both two blocks away from our apartment, Whole Foods Market and Apple Market.
We do have two small dogs, so if you are traveling with your dog, we will allow them to stay with you. Sorry, smoking will not be permitted in the apartment.
We are in the Lower Pacific Heights area of San Francisco. Our building is off of a main street Van Ness, but we are in the back of the building, so the noise level is very low.
On the corner from our apartment, is two of the major bus lines that will take you to downtown San Francisco, Chinatown, The Mission, Hayes Valley, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and pretty much any other neighborhood you would like to visit. We are very conveniently located.
At the top of our street (one block up and about a 5 minute walk) is a very large, beautiful park named Lafayette Square. There are tennis courts, a play area for children and a very large dog run area. The park offers beautiful views of the city, and if you are there on a good day, you can catch a glimpse at the famous parrots from Telegraph Hill.
We are a young, professional married couple who don't spend a lot of time at home since we are very busy with work but when we do, we really enjoy cooking, wine tasting, riding our bikes and any outdoor activities.
I am half Iranian and speak Farsi and English. I work for a property management company in San Francisco. My husband is American and works in Sales here in San Francisco.
We love to travel and last year we did a house swap with a friend of a friend and it worked out very well. We would like to do the same for the upcoming year.
