About our home

Our condo is located in a quiet, Mediterranean-style complex and features an open floor plan, high ceilings and all the amenities for a comfortable stay, including a gas fireplace. The patio with grill, fire pit and table adds a private outdoor area for dining and relaxing.

More about us

We are both retired and love to travel to new places. Tom worked as a general surgeon and Mary was a writer and a registered nurse. We moved to California to be closer to our four children, three of whom live in San Luis Obispo. We have done a home exchange to France and found it to be a great experience. We are especially interested in visiting Spain and Portugal.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

San Luis Obispo is located on the central coast of California, about three hours drive from either San Francisco or Los Angeles. It is being discovered by many transplants from these cities who value its clear, blue skies, lack of traffic and abundance of outdoor activities, good restaurants and outstanding wineries. We are only 15 minutes drive from the Pacific Ocean and its beaches to the west and are bordered on the east by mountains. Hiking trails abound in the area.
