Marin County house -- close to the city and the country -- July 15 - 30

Eikler-style California home, with south-facing floor-to-ceiling windows giving onto the backyard. Sunny and airy kitchen/dining room/living room, with two large, comfortable bedrooms, plus a guest room and a library, both outfitted with beds. Hardwood floors, hot tub in the backyard. Two cars available. We have a cat and a garden, and we ask that guests take care of these during their stay.

Quiet residential neighborhood, great sunny weather. Close to both shopping centers and beautiful hiking trails. We're thirty minutes from San Francisco, twenty minutes from Berkeley, and forty-five minutes from wine country. We're five minutes by car from quaint and vibrant downtown San Rafael, where "American Graffiti" was filmed. Nearby bus routes also go to these locations. Don't forget to check out the beautiful natural treasures of Marin County (known for Stinson Beach, Muir Woods, and Point Reyes).

We are a bilingual/bicultural French-American family. I am a high school teacher, and my husband is a Legal Aid lawyer. Our daughter just graduated form college. We enjoy the cultural amenities of San Francisco and Berkeley, but also love picnicking and hiking in the beautiful wild parks of Marin.
