About our home

Just one mile to the famed Santa Barbara Mission and less then a mile to shops and restaurants on State Street, you will find this charming Santa Barbara Cottage. Built in the 1940's the cottage has beautiful details( doors, moldings, windows, original hardwood floors) throughout including a large corner window in the Living area to bring in tons of natural light to the living space. The cottage features two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. Both with high end linens and reach-in closets. The bathroom is in between both bedrooms for easy access and features a large vanity and tub/shower combination. The light filled living area is one of our favorite parts of the house. It has views of the mountains and features a flat screen TV, Pottery Barn couch and comfy window chair for reading. The dining Room features crown moldings, Crate & Barrel table with four Restoration Hardware chairs, easy access to kitchen and French door access to the lovely south facing deck overlooking the expansive lawn area. Our original kitchen has a large stainless steel refrigerator, 4-burner stove and a Breville Espresso machine. The kitchen connects directly to the mudroom were you will find a stackable washer/dryer combination. The backyard features a large south facing deck for sun all day long, two large umbrellas, an outdoor seating area and BBQ. We also have numerous trees including a gigantic persimmon tree, mature fig tree, passion fruit vine and inca berries.
The front porch is also a great area to sit in the shade and view the beautiful mountains beyond. We have a mature Meyer lemon tree in the front yard that we often use for making lemon aide.
