“This was a great exchange. The house is a very sweet, immaculately clean bungalow that is comfortably furnished and loaded with character. Vintage look kitchen with all modern conveniences. This home is lovingly maintained and in a great location for day trips to Monterey and Carmel to the south and San Francisco to the north. The beach is within walking distance and beautiful forest walks only 20 minutes away. Gardens around the house were lovely to see and delicious to sample. Jenny was very responsive and welcoming. ”
Jenny's reviewsAs a host (2)
“Our stay at Jenny and Gary's home was nothing short of magical! The weather in Santa Cruz during the summer is amazing and the garden at their home is incredible, they even asked us to help ourselves to fresh raspberries, tomatoes, green beans and more! We enjoyed many mornings sipping coffee and exploring the garden. The home was cosy and had every amenity you could ask for and the memory foam beds were divine! Right out the door there was so much to do in Santra Cruz - wow! From the beach just 10 minutes walk away to the awesome park called Ocean View Park just 2 blocks from their home, to the redwood trees at Henry Cowell just 10 minutes north, San Fran 2 hours more and Monterey an hour south...so much to do especially with kids, its was heaven and we didn't want to leave =) Perhaps one of the best parts was enjoying the terrific stores and restaurants nearby too....the Buttery Bakery and Shoppers corner were a delight. We hope to trade with Jenny and Gary again and can't thank them enough too for how well they took care of our home. Thank you, thank you and do swap this amazing home if you can.”
Where is it?
Santa Cruz is 65 miles south of San Francisco, an hour and 15 minute drive along the scenic coast highway. We are also located 40 miles north of the beautiful Monterey and Carmel area. Our home is located in a very friendly neighborhood that is one of the most desirable areas in Santa Cruz. We are a short walking distance from the best of Santa Cruz - beautiful sunny beaches, the yacht harbor, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, downtown, and so many fabulous restaurants and shops. Santa Cruz also offers many outdoor activities such as surfing, fishing and boating, and hiking in amazing redwood forests - all short distances from our house. There are many art galleries, music venues, wineries, theatrical productions as well as museums to visit. Our town has a multitude of activities for adults and children and is within easy drives to all of the things that San Francisco and Monterey have to offer.
