About our home
Our comfortable, modern condo with a sunny balcony on the 3rd floor (with elevator) in a quiet, pretty upscale neighborhood. It has a large living room, dining area, nice kitchen, two roomy bedrooms, each with views of trees and pretty rooftops of lovely homes in the neighborhood. One bedroom is a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom (our studio) has couch that converts to a single bed. The building has washers/dryers, pool, parking garage, security building. We have two bikes to use.

We are Carol, 52 and Efrain 62. We work out of our home. Efrain, originally from Colombia is a writer/composer and also works as a translator. Carol is a business training consultant (also speaks Spanish). We appreciate that we can work from home as we love where we live. We both enjoy travel, knowing daily life in and culture places and meeting people. We've never done a home exchange before. We'd like to visit where we can be in the hub of an exciting city where they speak Spanish. We will care for your place as we do ours. Efrain is a nut about having a clean kitchen! =)...We'll be glad to give you ideas of local activities and places to go once we know what your interests are.

Neighbourhood
Pleasant, residential neighborhood that is 2 blocks to the beach (see photos of our neighborhood), Santa Monica shopping, restaurants, beach activities, bike paths (you can ride for 20 miles along the beach, if you want to!). Great area for walking and enjoying lovely Santa Monica. Close to Venice beach, Malibu, Beverly Hills.
Bus lines are available for getting around locally. A great base for Los Angeles area visiting. By public transportation you can reach Universal Studios, Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Malibu, LA County Museum of Art, Getty Art Museum and more We recommend to have a car for more getting around the LA area, at least for part of your time. It is a 2.5 hour drive to San Diego, 1.5 hours to Santa Barbara.
