About our home

******SORRY WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO AN EXCHANGE UNTIL AFTER Jan 2021*****
We are in the process of moving closer to the beach on 30A on ,Oyster Lake, one of the lakes at Gulfplace. There will be paddle boarding and kayaking on it. Also across the street from the beach. We are remolding and will be several months before we will have any pictures attached.". We hope to start booking after the first of the year.
Jo and Coni

Often referred to as "America's Riviera," Florida’s County Road Hwy 30A offers several unique seaside villages along its 15-mile strip, including Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seacrest, Seagrove, Watercolor, Watersound, Grayton Beach, Gulf Breeze, and others. Each community brings its own unique vibe to the beautiful sugar-sand beaches of the Gulf Coast. Yearly art and music festivals, weekend street markets, cozy restaurants, delicious food, and amazing sunsets are only a few of the added attractions to the area. Our vacation home is located in Nature Walk, one of the newer developments in Seagrove, and sits mid-center near Hwy 30A. A ten-minute bike ride will take you to the popular village of Seaside with its quaint restaurants, gift shops, village marketplace, and gorgeous beaches. (This is where the movie, "The Truman Story," with Jim Carey was filmed in 1998.) Pastel-colored homes and traditional streetlights align our pristine community, enhancing a family centered, seaside lifestyle. Located in the center of Nature Walk is the “Gathering Place” with a zero entrance swimming pool, a heated lap pool, kiddy pool, as well as a hot tub, barbeque grills and a small playground—all are available to you as our guests. Take an afternoon stroll or enjoy the jogging trails that weave through this and other nearby neighborhoods. Publix grocery is just a ten-minute walk from our front door and makes shopping easy and convenient. Our spacious 2400 sqft., beachside cottage is designed with easy living, shabby-chic decor; and has 3 bedrooms--one king and two queen beds (one Pack 'n Play), 3 bathsrooms and a TV loft and trundle daybed for two. Our kitchen is supplied with everything you need to cook, and includes a barbeque grill on the back deck. Home includes bed linen, bath & beach towels. (Since this is our vacation home, and since many of our guests have early flight schedules, we have found it necessary to include housekeeping services to prepare for future guests; therefore, $150 housekeeping fee is required upon departure. All you need to do is place used linen in the laundry room and take out the trash when leaving.

  1. We are a retired couple that loves to travel. Sometimes we have our married children with us. Simultaneous exchange is not necessary. We have a second home in Provo, Utah near Sundance and Park City ski resorts, which could also be arranged for exchanged. We divide our time between our two homes.
Looking to have a few months in Europe Spring of 2019.

  2. Joe is a retired owner of a Commercial Printing Company. Connie is a retired Educator.

  3. Our Florida home is located in Nature Walk, about one mile from the Emerald Gulf Shores of famous Seaside, Florida and several other laid-back family communities along 30A, with lots to do and see, many fine shops, beach activities, Saturday markets, and outdoor movies. It is also located 20 miles from a large outlet center in Destin, and 5-6 hours drive from Disney World and Universal Studio near Orlando.

Buzzy restaurants
You will find many seaside restaurants and cafes along County Road 30A. Of course, seafood is the specialty in the beach communities along this 15 mile strip. You will also find pizza parlors, sandwich shops, taco bars and Airstream food trailers in each village.
Cool bars
The Hub, Seaside Plaza, Rosemary Square and others offer outdoor theaters for game night entertainment and live performances. And Watercolor's Wine and Cheese Restaurant is a great gathering place. Bud and Alley's is a favorite.
Retail therapy
Shop 'til you drop. You'll find small boutiques and gift shops in every village on 30A; and just in case you feel the need, there are two large shopping centers and an Outlet Mall within 20 miles of our cottage in opposite directions on Hywy 98.
Bit of culture
Check your calendar: You may want to coordinate your visit to the Emerald Coast with the several annual arts, music and song writers festivals along 30A. There are wine tasting festivals every year, and 5K competitions for those who love a good run.
Walks in the park
Walking is what Nature Walk is all about. There are hiking and nature trails throughout our community.
Spot of exercise
Several exercise/stretch pads add variety to your daily walk or jog throughout our family-friendly neighborhood. A heated lap pool makes evening exercising a bliss.
Day tripping
Easy access to each unique seaside village along Country Road 30A. Seagrove is conveniently centered along the 15 mile strip of 30A. Drive a few miles north and 20 miles east or west to Destin or Panama City Beach for a day of shopping, movie theaters and go-cart rides. Fort Walton Beach is about 30 miles west, and include a small Native American Museum. Pensacola Beach is home to a National Naval Aviation Museum. Wakulla Springs (about 2 hours away) has glass bottom boats and riverboat trips down the beautiful and mysterious Wakulla River where you can often see alligators spashing and sunning nearby.
