About our home

4 bedrooms/3 bathroom house with deck, fully stocked and equipped kitchen, fireplace, garage and ample street parking, washer/dryer, central heating, fridge/freezer, Wireless Internet, Cable TV with PVR and quality soundsystem, spacious backyard. House can sleep at least 6 people.

If you are coming with children:
We can provide a crib, child and infant carseats (if necessary), a high chair, and an enormous list of kid-friendly activities.

We can also leave you a car (providing you have good driving record), a removable bike rack and 3 bikes that you are welcome to use.

We are in East Capitol Hill, 2 blocks away from Madison Street, with its array of bakeries, cafés (famous Seattle Coffee!!!), bars, shops, drop-in yoga/pilates/dance studios, museum, numerous restaurants, including 5 of Seattle's top 10 restaurants (all within walking distance).

There are 5 grocery stores within a 3-minute drive/10-minute walk including an organic food cooperative (we will leave you our membership card), Trader Joe's, and Safeway.
The Arboretum at Washington Park (the Northwest's premier botanical park on 230 acres) is just across Madison Street, while Lake Washington is just down the street.

Easy access to Capitol Hill, Downtown, Belltown, University of Washington, Pioneer Square, International District/Chinatown, Lake Union, West Seattle and the Eastside (Microsoft, Google and other companies)

A short drive (under 10 minutes), a quick bus ride (without having to make any transfers), or even a pleasant stroll will take you to:

Movie theatres, bookstores, several museums, famous Rem Koolhas-designed Seattle Public Library (http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/Seattle_Public_Library.html), the Sculpture Garden, Safeco and Qwest stadiums, symphony, opera, ballet, and the best shopping Seattle has to offer.
To get around:
You can walk everywhere from our house, but if you choose other means: we are served by the #8, #11, #43 and #48 busses.

Time to get to various other points of interests from our house:
Kayaking/canoeing area: 5 minutes drive with parking
Bike Paths: 2 minutes
-Snoqualmie Ski Resort: 45 minutes to 1 Hour.
-Stevens Ski Area: 2 hours drive
-Crystal Mountain Ski Area: 2 hours and 30 minutes
-Mount Baker: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Hiking and visiting mountains:
-Tiger Mountains and Cougar Zoo with Bengal tigers: 30 minutes
-Olympic National Park and Forest: 45 minutes
-Mount Rainer or Mount St. Helen's:1 hour and 30 minutes

We are family of 3 people, in late 30-ies, child is 7 years old. We are neat, orderly people, non-smokers, non-drinkers, good driving/credit records, can provide references. We can look after pets, care for plants and do other home duties.
When you here, we can put you in touch with our friends who would love to show you around, invite you their gatherings, and introduce to the lesser known gems of American and Northwest life.
