About our home

Large (3,000+ sq. ft.), light-filled home in the city on a half-acre property with evergreen trees and a creek. There are 3 bedrooms and two baths in the main home, and a separate (but attached) guest room and bathroom. We have two kids (ages 6 and 8) and everything you need for comfortable family living--bicycles for the whole family, two cars (a VW Jetta and a Dodge minivan), wireless Internet, digital cable, Wii game console, a large playroom, a hot tub, an oversized kitchen and open floor plan that's great for entertaining, and more.

We live in a wonderful neighborhood just 10 minutes north of downtown and centrally located so it's easy to get to every major attraction. If you prefer not to drive our cars, we're close to every major bus route, so you can get wherever you want to go. Seattle is beautiful urban city, with world-famous restaurants, theater, museums, live music, a vibrant arts scene, an in-city zoo, sports arenas, and more. We're also a short drive to the Cascade mountains, Olympic Peninsula (the only rainforest in North America), Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood, and just a short ferry boat ride to the San Juan Islands, Vancouver, and Victoria, B.C. It's a dream vacation area for both city lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, with premier bicycling, kayaking, sailing, hiking, mountain cliimbing, skiing (downhill and cross-country), kite and wind surfing, rock climbing, and more. Our parks are amazing, and if it's raining, we have some of the best book stores and coffee shops in the world.

We are a friendly family of four that loves adventure, meeting new people, and having fun. I am a freelance marketing writer/consultant; my husband works at Microsoft, and our kids are in elementary school. We're excited to try out a home exchange. Contact us via email anytime!
