About our home

Our 2 bedroom home with den, suits a couple or small family perfectly; open floorplan, easy to keep up, and arranged with cosy furniture. Bright colors, stylish, and comfortable. The backyard is an oasis; perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing, and evening gatherings. The home was built in the 50's and remodeled two years ago with designer colors, new applicances, and design. A kayak, two bikes, and a fire pit comes with the home for your use as well.

More about us

My son and I are traveling to Spain as an extension of his study of Spanish; he is a 15 yo high school student on Vashon Island. This is probably our last big trip together for he will be moving on to an Exchange program in Europe next year and this is our time together. I am an educator with most of my summer off. I work with special needs families and their students in my work. Both my son and I are quiet types, well experienced in travel, we tend to NOT stay in the home much on vacation so we will have little impact; we like to enjoy the local culture! The DATES of YOUR use of our home are FLEXIBLE if you need more time on the front end or the back end of the trip; available!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is central to EVERYTHING. Located in West Seattle, we are walking distance to the ferry (less than a mile: portal to islands), parks, shopping centers, and steps to bus routes downtown. The West Seattle neighborhood is upscale for restaurants and cafes. Located close the ferry, one can be on an island (Vashon) in less than 15 minutes with the Olympic National Park within 2 hours off the boat. Easy access to Port Townsend, a Victorian Town, and Victoria Island near by. The weather in July and August is AMAZING; sunny, 70 degrees and no humidity everyday. No where else in the world has this climate! And local Festivals are scheduled every night in the area as the region celebrates SEAFAIR with major boating events, fireworks, concerts and parades every night.
