About our home

Our home is a beautiful 1800 square foot detached house situated in a retirement/resort community called Buttonwood Bay in Sebring, Florida surrounded by citrus groves and big cattle ranches with great wild life. I will make a package of 18 photos available on Shutterfly web site upon request. Sebring is a good central location for visits to warm water beaches (Sarasota, Fort Pierce, Miami, and others) and the cities of Tampa, Orlando etc. Buttonwood Bay is also a place to stay home and relax and to participate in many many activities.

More about us

Edie (my wife) and I are both retired seniors. I spent 35 years in the aerospace business with the same Seattle based company. My last assignment was Space station in Huntsville Alabama and it was during that time we became familar with Florida and decided that this is where we wanted to retire. After 10 years of retirement, we have not regretted our decision for a second.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Sebring is a small agricultural town of about 15,000 people located on highway 27 north of Miami about 150 miles. The primary industries are citrus and beef. Peak population is in winter when people from northern US and Canada come for very nice winter weather.
