About our home

This is an excellent location for exploring the San Francisco Bay Area. It is sunny year-round as opposed to SF proper which is socked in with fog all summer. Easy drives into SF or to sunny Santa Cruz beaches.
Very nice 1 double bedroom apartment in town of Campbell. Apartment is well equipped and very nice with a/c, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Complex has resort-like swimming pool and fitness center. Walking distance to lively downtown area with restaurants, pubs, shops, theater, etc... Adjacent to nature trail for wonderful morning/evening walks by the stream and lake.

I absolutely love living in downtown Campbell. In the midst of busy Silicon Valley/SF Bay Area, it is a small enclave providing the best of both worlds. A small town/neighborhood feel in the midst of a stimulating cosmopolitan region.
Downtown area has lots of year-round activities including live music in the park on Thursday nights, first friday nights with merchants staying open late interacting with locals and visitors. There is a great local coffee shop where I do my writing and see friends, then go to the yoga studio on the next block. Wednesday nights is trivia at the pub (and my team -ages ranging from 26-60- would welcome you!)

A California native, I am in my late 30s and well experienced with foreign and domestic travel having spent time throughout Europe and the near east and lived in France for a time. I am currently on a self-imposed sabbatical in which I am doing some writing... subjects: people's connections with land, dignity, and the concept of pilgrimage in different cultures and spiritual traditions. The exchange would be with myself and perhaps one friend (possibly my brother who lives in Shanghai.)
