About our home

Our new build home (2008) is kid friendly with a large grass front yard and a fenced grass back yard. The back yard includes a large quality wooden play-set and is fenced with a block fence with gates. Inside the home it is kept neat and clean with a large family room with a gas fireplace open to the kitchen. Very large deck outside has a table with seating for 6 and front porch has sitting area.
Inside rooms include the boys room painted in a red-white-and-blue theme with bunk-beds. The girls room, purple with pink accents, includes a double bed. The master bedroom has an adjustable queen air-bed and a walk-in shower and separate oval bath. The 4th bedroom is used as an office with 2 computers and bookshelves.
The walk-in areas are tiled as is the kitchen. The stove is gas and the refrigerator is a double door top with a drawer freezer bottom. The kitchen includes a very large counter with a bar area for extra seating. The dining room has a table set-up for 5. The dining room, kitchen, and living room are all in one area (although the kitchen is around a corner) with vaulted ceilings giving a very open feel.

The neighborhood is excellent. On our street there are 4 firemen and 2 policemen. Our next door neighbor is one of the fireman and he and his wife (and kids) are very friendly. Very safe area – our kids play on the street all day.
The local school is on our road and the intermediate school is down the next road making this a very kid friendly area. The school areas are open for use after school hours and many children play at the parks and in their fields (baseball, basketball, etc).
The area is very safe. Our town basically doesn’t have crime – although you are welcome to read the crime report on our local paper – it is a very boring place when it comes to crime. To give you an idea of the area, I leave my car doors unlocked all the time. We are a very trusting area.
This area is really basically a small town with lots of cowboys, ranchers, and independent types. You can get an excellent steak or prime rib at many locations in the area as well as great BBQ at up to 4 different locations. We don’t really have chain restaurants (except the typical fast food) but we have excellent mom-and-pop stuff. We even have a little shop on the corner of our street that makes their own hot-dogs and has great fries (as long as you are not on a diet )
The area is pine covered forest with many lakes. The closest lake is Fool Hallow, about 1 mile away and it is a state park. It is an awesome place to fish, swim, and hang out. Many other lakes are close-by as well as hundreds of hiking trails and excellent 4-wheeling.

Our family has 3 children, Kelden, 8, Ireland, 6, and Aiden, 3. We are Brandon and Dawn and we enjoy our family and our community. We speak English although I have some training in Spanish. I am the children’s pastor at our local church and am a programmer by day. This is a great place for our family but we also like going and doing things together and experiencing other communities.
