More about us

  1. We are a couple, mid-fifties, who own a gallery/ gift shop in Sitka and several vacation rentals here. We are both artists and interested in dog training. We want to travel with our perfect Belgian Shepherd and would guarantee no damage to your property. Lived in San Miguel de Allende from 1976-1986 and have maintained many friendships there. Hoping to retire back in the area. We speak Spanish and have traveled extensively throughout Mexico over the last 30 years.

Where is it?

Sitka was the first capital of Alaska and is where the transfer ceremony took place when the United States purchased Alaska from Russia over 100 years ago. Steeped in Tlingit and Russian culture and history, today Sitka is a world class salmon and halibut fishing destination. Also enjoy wildlife viewing, cruses and tours, boating, exploring hundreds of islands in Sitka Sound, hotsprings, forest service cabins in remote bays, awesome hiking, museums, shopping and dining. Long daylight hours from May through September extend your time to enjoy this wonderland in the heart of the Tongass National Forest.
