About our home

Our home has a split floor plan. We have a roomy living room and medium sized kitchen and bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest room a Sleep Number queen. The master bath has a garden tub with separate shower. The house is decorated with my mom's handmade quilts on the walls. My husband moved in October of 2011. It was a new home at that time. We have a 55 inch flat screen television with HD, with cable, and a blu ray player. There is an Dell desktop computer in the office. It has central heating and air conditioning. The house sits on 1/2 an acre of land. If you have more than 4 people traveling or ones that will not want to share a bed, we do own a queen blow-up mattress that fits easily in the living room.

More about us

  1. We were married June 2012. One of the things we have in common is that we love to travel. My son is a civil engineer. My husband has a daughter and two grandchildren in North Georgia. I taught school for 26 years. Don is a retired CPA.

  2. I lived in Mexico and Latin American when I was teaching school. I love the opportunity to use my Spanish.

  3. I am now a life coach and a collage artist. My mom was a quilter so our home is decorated with quilts and collages.

Where is it?

We live in a small town and our house is in a subdivision. The subdivision includes two tennis courts, swimming pool and playground. The pool is available from June through August. The town has one grocery store and several restaurants. One of the restaurants is very well known and offers a southern buffet. It is called the Blue Willow. There are several small stores. The larger stores are 10 miles away in both directions. You can drive from our house to downtown Atlanta in 45 minutes so that means we are close to all kinds of entertainment. Some examples of things to do in Atlanta are Stone Mountain, Georgia Aquarium, The Coca Cola Factory, Underground Atlanta and many more. It is the best of both worlds: a quaint peaceful town with direct access to Atlanta by interstate.
Social Circle is also a great place for trips to: Nashville (5 hours), The Smokey Mountains (2 hours), Savannah (4 hours), and the Barrier Islands of Georgia ( Jekyll [5 hours], Tybee, Cumberland, Amelia, St Simons Islands etc 13 Islands in total..), and the Florida panhandle coast (5 hours).
