About our home

My home is a sun filled cottage with a sensational winter view of the village of stowe and the ski slopes beyond. The interior is filled with an eclectic mix of art and antiques and the fireplace, large outdoor deck and open floor plan make it a wonderful home to entertain in. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and 2 additional daybeds, so the cottage can sleep as many as 6 people. The garden, on 1 acre of land, adds privacy, but in minutes you can be in the centre of the village of Stowe.

My name is Virginia and I am a fashion designer who has taken an early retirement to give me more time to manage my rental properties. I am separated from Fred, but on very good terms with him and we have a fabulous grown daughter, Karina, who hosts a tv show on a & e and lives in New York city. We all love adventure and travelling. Somehow stepping into someones world and sharing mine seems a most fascinating way to explore new countries. We are athletic and love outdoorsy holidays, yet sometimes there's nothing like the excitement of a pulsing city to stimulate the imagination. We love beautiful settings near vibrant communities and I am particularly partial to well designed interiors.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are located in the village of Stowe Vermont, the home of the trapp family lodge and the famed ski resort of Stowe. The cottage is ideally located in the village within walking distance to shops and restaurants, yet it is hidden away on a quiet knoll with a postcard view. At all times of year, Stowe is full of outdoorsy activities, skiing, hiking, golf, swimming, biking, canoeing, to name just a few. Montreal is just a few hours by car and I also have a wonderful loft in old Montreal that could be part of the exchange. This property is also available as a holiday rental.
