About our home

Our home was built in 1850 and completely restored in 1995. It is a large open house and can comfortably accommodate large groups. The 6 acre property is truly unique, situated along Cherry Creek with a large stone spring house just one meter from the waters edge. The house is surrounded by stone patios, stone walls and flower gardens.

Neighbourhood

Our house is in the middle of Cherry Valley, which was recently designated a National Wilderness Area and Cherry Valley is in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, which has been the outdoor resort for NYC residents for more than 100 years. The house is directly on Cherry Creek, which runs into the Delaware river 8 miles downstream. We have outstanding views of the Kittatinny Mountain, with the Appalachian trail on the top ridge. The outdoor activities in this area are endless, and you will only be 85 miles from NYC. There is a public bus station close by that runs to the city almost hourly.
The house can easily accommodate two families and many of our European friends spend a week in NYC and then a week with us in the mountains. It is a very comfortable house filled with antiques and ideal for just hanging out and making large dinners. The spring house is special and may date back to the 1700's. It has a large walk-in fireplace and an endless supply of firewood.

Buzzy restaurants
House is located 5 miles from downtown Stroudsburg, PA. Lots of small shops, bars and restaurants.
