About our home

We live in a comfortable one-story 1850 sq ft bungalow with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room and dining room in Lakewood, Washington. Our back garden is an oasis with trees, plants, and flowers, birds, hummingbirds and is a beautiful spot to enjoy a summer afternoon. We're geographically located 40 miles south of Seattle. All amenities are available close to our neighborhood.

More about us

  1. Tom has been retired for 17 years and Sue has been retired for 5 years. Travel has become our passion and exchanging homes offers us a unique opportunity to learn about other cultures and experience first-hand how other people live, literally. Respect is key - we are experienced home-exchangers and would treat your home with as much care as our own. Our home is smoke-free and pet-free. Tom was born in London (U.K.) and immigrated to the US in 1962. Sue is a local, born in 'the middle' (the midwestern U.S.) While we have our hearts set on an exchange in Ireland, we are open to all offers. NON-SIMULTANEOUS exchanges may also be an option and we're also open to exchanging autos.

Where is it?

The Pacific Northwest and Washington State have excellent golf courses, saltwater/fresh water fishing, biking, boating, kayaking, canoeing, whale watching, water sports, snow sports, and harbor cruises. The Seattle area is the gateway to Alaska cruises via several cruiselines and is also the gateway to the Pacific Rim and the Hawaiian Islands via many airlines from SeaTac International Airport. The following are 1 to 4 hours drive from our home: the city of Seattle and all it has to offer, the wine country of Eastern Washington; Mt. Rainier; Mt. St. Helens; the Oregon Coast; British Columbia, Canada; the San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island via ferry. Top Attractions in Seattle: Pike Place Market Underground Tour of old Seattle, Seattle Waterfront & Aquarium, Space Needle, Seattle Center, Pioneer Square, Ballard Locks & Fish Ladder, Woodland Park Zoo. Bus and train service to Seattle, no need to drive!
